Tagging Documents:

Tags allow you to mark documents in your database based on various issues specific to your document review. There are a number of ways to tag a document. The easiest and quickest method for creating a new tag and applying it to the current document is to type directly into the tag box on the main screen:

Press the Enter key to “tokenize” this tag. The tag will now be attached to the current document, and will also be available to use on future documents by either typing or by clicking on the tag palette button:

The tag palette shows all of the available tags available in your database. You can drag a tag from the tagging palette to the tag box for the current document to apply that tag to the current document.

- Search for all documents with this tag - this option will narrow your database down to the documents that have been tagged with the currently selected tag.

- Search for all documents without this tag - this option will narrow your database down to the documents which have NOT been tagged with the currently selected tag.

- Apply this tag to all documents currently in query - this option will take the currently selected tag and add it to every document in your database, or if you have already run a search to narrow your database down to a smaller subset of documents it will only apply the tag to the documents in this subset.

- Remove this tag from all documents currently in query - this option will take the currently selected tag and remove it from any document in your database, or if you have already run a search to narrow your database down to a smaller subset of documents it will only remove the tag from the documents in this subset.

- Tag Administration and Search - this will open the Tag Administration and Search window.
